June/July 2007 “Lois Unleashed” By Lois Mierau June: Sondog is pleased to be offering Rally Obedience classes. Our first class has six dogs registered and they are doing great and having lots of fun learning new things! Crosstraining in different dog sports is very helpful in building your working relationship with your dog. We were recently in Edmonton for a three day trial put on by Performance Agility Club of Edmonton (PACE) This is one of my favorite trials . . . Three days of nothing but agility, a great venue with lots of room for ringside benching and on-site camping. Liane and Friday did very well now that they are in Elite and Liane and Cricket had some wonderful runs now that they can run at 8” in veterans. Donella and Jake had 11 qualifying runs, which we have come to expect from such a great team. Wes and Katie had nine qualifying runs and lots of fun. I am very proud of Quewe as she earned her Novice Triple Superior Title and her Novice Superior Versatility Award. So here we come Open!
July: We are very proud of our newest Rally-Obedience graduates: Jan & Sirius Black, Karen & Tessa, Cheryl & Molly, Lois & Serena, Liane & Friday. They will be continuing with their classes and we will be offering another Novice class in September. Our agility classes are continuing throughout the summer. All levels of classes are currently full but we do have a waiting list and as soon as we have enough dogs we will start another class. Our new indoor facility (65’ X 92’) is starting to take shape and we are looking forward to having it ready for use this winter.
